Home Description

Beautifully decorated 170m2 villa. This comprises a 35m2 living room with huge glass doors leading directly onto the outdoor terrace with stunning sea views. The kitchen is very well equipped and the large kitchen windows open right up so you can look out to sea while you cook!

There are 4 bedrooms - and each has a bathroom (two with showers and two with bath tubs) The Master bedroom has a cast iron clawfoot bath so you can look out to sea while you soak - and the large glass doors open right out onto the terrace for breakfast.

The gardens consist of 1000 square metres over 4 terraces. There is a shaded terrace dining area with sea views, covered in bougainvillea, jasmine and grape vines, which keeps this area deliciously cool for eating al fresco. There is also a wooden decked area of 75m2 with huge parasol, sun loungers, a Provencal BBQ and hammock - perfect for afternoon chilling out.

The garden has lemon trees (great for G&Ts!) , orange, plum, apricot, clementine, and a vine with delicious green grapes throughout September.

There is an outdoor terrace - perfect for breakfast or evening drinks - where often in the summer months you can enjoy a free firework display if the yacht owners in the bay oblige :-)

There is ample parking right outside the house. A car is necessary for easy access to Villefranche-sur-mer old town as the area is hilly but nearby buses do go down to Nice, Beaulieu and Cap Ferrat. There is also a bus which can be booked in advance by phone, and it will come and pick you up from right outside the front door and take you to Beaulieu, where there's a lovely market daily, or the beaches of Beaulieu and Cap Ferrat. The bus will also bring you home if you book in advance.

The villa is in a quiet, prestigious location, minutes from the entertainment and nightlife of Villefranche centre & Nice. Monte Carlo is also just 20 minutes away. The house is made of stone which keeps it deliciously cool in the summer months yet due to its positioning the garden gets sunshine all day long which is unusual in Villefranche!

Villefranche-sur-mer

Nessled between Nice and Monaco both buzzing with nightlife and fantastic shops, Villefranche sur mer is a lovely, unspoilt, medieval village right on the Mediterranean, boasting a beautiful large sandy beach, with crystal clear waters. It has great restaurants, charming shops and lovely narrow fascinating streets encapsulating it's rich past. It is a haunt for both the rich and famous, as well as for the more discerning.

Local shops (boulangerie, pharmacie, petrol station, fishmongers, butchers, newsagents and supermarket) can be found at 3km away.
Local markets are held in Nice, in Beaulieu and in Villefranche town.

There are a wide range of sports activities in the area – golf courses, tennis courts in Villefranche and of course, fishing and water sports like scuba diving. There are boats in nearby Nice Port, that will take you to the Iles Lerins - stunning and unspoilt islands just an hour away.

The nearest beach is the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, which is sandy, suitable for swimming, and has restaurants and cafes for refreshments. There is a fish market down here every morning.

The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports! You are also close to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region, which makes walking and cycling very popular. There is also a little steam train that can take you up to the Mercantour Park - an amazing oasis of flora and fauna and great for ramblers or mountaineering.

Sightseeing on the Cote d'Azur

Sightseeing from Villa Krisma is endless; you are ideally placed here to visit the most famous places on the Cote d’Azur. St Jean-Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu, the medieval village of Eze, Monte Carlo and Menton are east of here. You can drive to Italy in just 30 mins, visit the Friday morning market and bring back some local delicacies. (Florence is only a 4 hour drive by the way).

To the west there are the coastal towns of Nice, Antibes, Cannes and St. Tropez. Further inland you can visit the picturesque villages of Vence, St Paul de Vence, Valbonne, Biot and Mougins.

Other entertainment includes the water theme-park at Marineland near Antibes; Art galleries like the Matisse, the Chagall, the Museum of Modern Art - all in Nice and the famous Picasso museum in Antibes. The Promenade des Anglais ; the Port of Nice; the zoo on Cap Ferrat; Casinos and shopping in Monaco; helicopter rides from Monaco; yacht marinas in Villefranche, Cap-Ferrat and Beaulieu-sur-Mer; and a huge number of fabulous bars and restaurants - from jazz on the beach in Monaco to the michelin starred amazing Chevre d'Or in Eze. We can provide a full listing of all this, plus several guide books on the local area.

For any visitors bringing a dog, there are 3 stunningly beautiful and picturesque nature parks within a mile of the house. The views around here are amazing. There is also a lovely children's playground nearby set in woodland with picnic tables.

And if you're a bit of a celebrity spotter - one of our Irish guests recently spent an evening chatting with Bono in a restaurant in Beaulieu - he has a place nearby - and the Beckhams were seen jogging along Villefranche beach this summer.

We have an average of 300 days of sunshine down here so you can find yourself wearing a T shirt in February!
